Dr. Hussein Mohamed is a board-certified surgeon, specializing in transplant and hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery. He also serves as the acting Medical Director of the Abdominal Transplant Program and Hepatobiliary Pancreatic (HBP) Surgery Center at Largo Medical Center. Dr. Mohamed is the only transplant surgeon specializing in HBP surgery in the West Florida region.
Dr. Emad Kishi is a board-certified general surgeon as well as ASTS certified in abdominal transplant surgery. Joining the practice from New York, Dr. Kishi's vision is to help patients suffering from end-stage renal and liver disease overcome their challenges, live healthier lives and achieve their personal goals. is a board-certified general surgeon as well as ASTS certified in abdominal transplant surgery.
Dr. Layal Abdel Rahman is board-certified in transplant nephrology and specializes in hemodialysis, hemofiltration, kidney transplant, peritoneal dialysis and renal biopsy.
Dr. Basem Alkurdi is the Medical Director of Liver Transplant program at the Transplant Institute of Florida at Largo Medical Center. Dr. Alkurdi has extensive experience in managing viral hepatitis, alcoholic, metabolic and genetic liver disease, besides management of complex liver transplant patients. His special interest is management of Cirrhosis complications, liver transplant and viral hepatitis.
